Andrew
“By week three, I noticed a huge shift in how I understood the fretboard. I started seeing how scales, chords, and the notes underneath them all connected—and practicing daily, even in small amounts, really paid off. This course gave me direction when I didn’t know how to move forward.”

“Within the first two weeks, I had at least a half-dozen light bulb moments. This course gave me clarity, direction, and confidence I didn’t have before. It’s not just about playing better—it’s about understanding who you are as a musician. It’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made in myself.”

Brian
“Chris is a supportive and kind mentor with a huge knowledge base. He’s excellent with beginners, advanced players, and everyone in between. The group Q&As are a wonderful way to connect with others who share similar guitar goals. This is the first online format that really stuck for me.”

Meet Your Guide to Guitar Freedom:
Chris Emmerson
Chris Emmerson was literally born into a life of music—on the day he was born in Detroit, his dad left the hospital to play a gig in New York. By age 8, Chris had picked up the guitar, and he hasn’t put it down since.
In fourth grade, he started his first band—complete with a weekly rehearsal schedule, despite having no gigs. By high school, he was performing in clubs and festivals with his dad’s band, regularly leaving audiences in disbelief at the sound coming from such a young player.
Chris went on to form his own bands, gaining a local following and performing on radio and TV. Along the way, he developed a deep appreciation for improvisation and musical exploration.
Over the years, Chris discovered that his true passion wasn’t just playing—it was helping others find the same joy and freedom in music. He’s since taught hundreds of students in person and reached thousands more through his YouTube channels.
A few years ago, an online finance course opened his eyes to the power of structured learning. Inspired, he created a course of his own—Elevated Improv—designed to help intermediate guitarists break through to confident improvisation.
Today, Chris continues to teach and inspire through his Q-Factor method, helping guitarists connect with their unique musical voice and play with confidence, creativity, and joy.
